Since founding LHA in 1984, Keith Lippert has built an industry-wide reputation as a highly respected advisor to emerging-growth companies. Along with his partner, John Heilshorn, Keith has provided strategic counsel to over 1,000 public and private companies. Keith and John have established LHA as a pioneer and a premier provider of financial communications strategies. LHA continues to lead the way in this evolving discipline. Since 1983, Keith has led investor relations programs for companies with market caps ranging as high as $5 billion and has led LHA’s efforts in establishing its well-respected healthcare practice. In addition, Keith advises clients in a variety of industries including healthcare, telecom and cleantech. Keith plays a leadership role in working with account teams to enhance the market’s understanding of LHA’s clients, deftly harnessing and integrating all of the communication, investor and media outreach tools available. He is able to leverage his extensive relationships with institutional investors, analysts, retail brokers and investment bankers as well as his capital markets knowledge on behalf of LHA’s clients.

Keith is a board member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) New York Metro Chapter. He also serves on Syracuse University's School of Management Corporate Advisory Council, providing guidance on key university issues. In 2009, he was named “Distinguished Entrepreneur of the Year” by Syracuse University’s Whitman School of Management’s Program in Entrepreneurship and Emerging Enterprises.

Keith graduated from Syracuse University with a BS in Management and received an MBA with honors in Marketing from Adelphi University.

John Heilshorn, co-founding partner of LHA, joined Keith Lippert in 1984 to create a firm that would pioneer the professional practice of investor relations and corporate communications. Working early on with international high-technology clients, John helped build LHA into a premier provider of strategic communications services to public and soon-to-be public companies. In the process, he established his own reputation as a knowledgeable, capable and credible advisor to growth companies in a variety of sectors.

Since 1982, John has advised hundreds of public and private companies on financial disclosure, strategic and crisis communications, investment thesis formation, analyst and shareholder relations, navigating the capital markets, and media relations. Drawing on his extensive relationships with investing institutions and investment banks, John advises clients in a variety of industries, including telecom/data center, clean tech, consumer goods, technology, financial services and building materials companies.

A recognized ambassador for investor relations, John has addressed National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) conferences across the country and serves on the Board of Advisors for Main Street Resources, a private equity firm. Reflecting LHA’s long-time support of innovative IR service vendors, John serves on the board of advisors of the information media network MUNCmedia, which pioneered “push news distribution” to ensure that companies’ news communications reach the right individual investors. John began his career as a registered investment advisor for Merrill Lynch, and holds a BA in Government from Lawrence University.

Jody Burfening leads the New York team of senior account professionals who specialize in executing investor relations programs for clients spanning the technology, telecommunications, diversified industrials, consumer goods and clean tech sectors. Since joining LHA in 1996, Jody has designed the communications strategies for and managed the implementation of a broad range of investor relations programs, helping under-discovered, newly public and established companies gain Street sponsorship and achieve their capital markets objectives. She has advised clients on the full gamut of strategic and crises communications issues, including bankruptcies, plant closings, re-launching a public company post-bankruptcy, expectations management, C-level transitions, lawsuits and product defects, among others.

Prior to joining LHA, Jody served as an engagement manager at Houlihan, Lokey, Howard & Zukin where she was responsible for delivering solvency opinions, fairness opinions and various other equity valuations, and she was an analyst on mergers and acquisitions teams at W.R. Grace and PepsiCola, USA. She started her career at Chase Manhattan Bank.

Jody holds an MBA from the Wharton School of Business, an MA in International Relations from the University of Chicago and a BA from Wheaton College. She is a co-author of the NASDAQ OMX Going Public Guide for North American Companies and also a member of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI).

Kirsten Chapman began leading the San Francisco team in 2004, after assuming increasing responsibility since joining LHA in 1999. The SF team works with growing companies in a variety of industries including business services with a recent focus on those with a software as a service model; cleantech and traditional industrial; consumer products; and telecommunications. Kirsten believes the core to improving communications begins with a thorough understanding of the business followed by organized programming and proactive implementation. Specializing in message development and communication and investor interaction, she helps clients navigate Wall Street. Over the years, Kirsten has guided 50+ companies through IR activities including quarter end reporting, road shows, acquisitions, management changes, catalyst events, turnarounds, product launches, IPOs, follow-on transactions and more.

Prior to LHA, she served as the Head of Investor Relations at a publicly traded real estate investment trust. While responsible for all investor relations activities, she focused on creating and disseminating a consistent company message and targeting and managing institutional investors. Prior, Kirsten worked in New York for ten years with J.P. Morgan Investment Management and Chase Manhattan Bank, where she honed her accounting, financial analysis and client relationships skills.

Kirsten earned an MBA from Fordham Graduate School of Business while working and received her BS from Lehigh University. A member of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI), she has served on the San Francisco chapter’s board. In 2006, she led the IR team that won a PRSA Silver Anvil Award for Improved Connections to Investors.

Since joining LHA in 2009, Adam Handelsman spearheads the firm’s public relations practice. He directs the strategic media relations programs for all public and private accounts, and manages LHA’s external communications efforts. As an eighteen year industry veteran, he is a hands-on generalist who understands the evolution of today’s media environment and how to secure both high-impact and targeted coverage for clients. Over the course of his career, Adam has developed and executed strategic PR plans for some of the most recognizable brands in finance, consumer goods, healthcare, wellness and technology, among other industries including: Nice Systems, EDS, Starbucks Coffee Company, Evian, Patina Restaurant Group, Phillips-Van Heusen, ScanBuy, iSkoot and AEG Live.

Prior to joining LHA, Adam most recently served as EVP; national director of strategic media relations at Cohn & Wolfe, a leading global PR agency. Before that, he held the post of EVP/partner at 5W PR. Throughout his tenure with 5W, he was responsible for the firm’s dramatic growth, senior-level account strategy and management. Earlier in his career, he served as director of public relations for Netpulse Media Networks; held posts at two New York based PR firms; and was a senior publicist at The Hearst Corporation’s book group.

Recognized as a thought leader in the PR sector, in 2007, Adam was appointed to the board of directors of the Public Relations Society of America’s (PRSA) New York Chapter. He majored in communications at Pace University and The New School for Social Research.

Bruce Voss founded LHA’s Los Angeles office in 1997 and leads the firm’s healthcare practice, with professionals in Los Angeles and New York. Under his direction this practice has become one of the largest and most highly regarded in the industry.

Bruce began his career in investor relations in 1986 and has focused on healthcare since 1990. At LHA he has provided strategic, transactional and tactical support to more than 100 public and private U.S. and overseas clients, encompassing all sectors of the healthcare industry and business models involving most every disease category. Client market caps are as high as $6 billion, and include members of the S&P 500 and NASDAQ 100.  He has particular expertise with high-impact/high-visibility events, including release of clinical trial data, financial reporting and restatements, M&A, proxy battles, crisis communication and changes to corporate strategy. His clients have raised approximately $2.5 billion in more than 80 equity and convertible debt transactions, including more than a dozen IPOs, and his team has arranged approximately 10,000 1x1 meetings.  Bruce also is responsible for bringing important changes to LHA including establishing the market intelligence function and an emphasis on senior-level staffing.

His previous work includes both agency and in-house IR positions in New York and San Francisco. He has won numerous industry awards and has lectured at NASDAQ and NIRI events. Bruce holds an MBA from the Stern School of Business, a BS from the Carlson School Management and a BA from the University of Minnesota.

Jody Cain joined LHA in August 2001 and services clients in the healthcare and alternative energy industries. She is an accomplished senior-level IR professional and a strong strategic consultant who draws upon research and industry best practices, as well as more than 25 years of experience. Clients benefit from a wealth of investor relations, crisis and transactional expertise from her years at leading investor relations and crisis communications agencies. Jody uses this experience to build investor support for clients on a range of issues, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate takeovers, clinical trial data announcements, FDA review decisions, management changes and fundraises, among others, while adroitly handling day-to-day IR issues and tactics.

Jody also brings an additional aspect to her client counsel through her experience heading an in-house corporate communications department. She works closely with senior management teams to develop messages that resonate with investors and identifies the best avenues to communicate these messages to targeted audiences. In addition to expertise in preparing shareholder letters, news releases, conference call scripts, investor presentations and investor Fact Sheets, Jody has been instrumental in arranging high-impact Analyst Day events, from date, venue and speaker selection to investment community targeting and attendance tracking, and presentation consulting.

Jody has been a speaker on investor and media relations at the SEC Institute and the International Business Forum conferences, as well on investing in biotechnology at the UCLA/MIT Venture Forum. She holds BA and MA degrees in Communications, both from the University of Washington.

Kim Sutton Golodetz joined LHA’s healthcare practice in 1998. Drawing upon 15 years of Wall Street experience, including several years as a sell-side securities analyst, she provides her clients with a first-hand perspective on how The Street evaluates companies, how analysts build their models and, most importantly, how managements’ communications affect credibility and valuation. LHA clients have utilized Kim’s experience as a corporate relations manager at the American Stock Exchange to navigate through listing-related issues. During her tenure at LHA, Kim has guided many clients through introductions and investment banking relationships in support of IPOs, follow-on offerings, and PIPEs that led to approximately half a billion dollars in funds raised. She is a full-service IR practitioner and her capabilities run the gamut from traditional tactics – including the preparation of written materials, such as conference call scripts, presentations, press releases and corporate Fact Sheets – to consulting on corporate positioning. As a long-time veteran of LHA’s healthcare practice, Kim has knowledge of various FDA regulatory pathways, including Pre-market Approvals, New Drug Applications, Abbreviated New Drug Applications and 510(k) applications.

She was previously director of investor relations for a microcap company during a change in management and business focus from a biotechnology company to a drug delivery/medical device company.

Kim received a BA in English from the State University of New York at Albany, and an MBA in International Business and Finance from Pace University.

Peter Mirabella joined LHA's New York office in 1998. Joining LHA with over 10 years of broad-based experience in the areas of finance, operations, management, and business planning, he is an accomplished chief financial and administrative officer. Peter is responsible for LHA's internal operations, including finance, human resources, systems, office services, and facilities.

Prior to joining LHA, Peter was Vice President of Finance and Administration at Morgen-Walke Associates, Inc. Previously; he held a number of positions at J. Walter Thompson, USA, including executive vice president and director of operations of its healthcare group.

Peter holds a BS in Accounting and Finance from Nichols College.

Anne Marie Fields rejoined LHA in July 2005, having worked at the firm from 1985 through 1997. With considerable agency and in-house experience, Anne Marie is focused on providing communications services to emerging life sciences companies. She brings particular strength in investor targeting and introductions, financing strategies, event planning and crisis communications. Anne Marie’s in-house work for a multi-national company has benefitted her work with a host of LHA’s clients with headquarters outside the U.S. Detailed and creative, Anne Marie is experienced at developing stand-out and successful investor events for clients participating at high-impact medical conferences showcasing the breadth of her experience across a variety of sectors in biotechnology and medical technology. These conferences include the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the American Society of Hematology, the Radiological Society of North America, the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.

Prior to returning to LHA, Anne Marie was vice president, corporate communications and business strategy for an emerging medical imaging company. Previous to this, she served as vice president, corporate communications and investor relations for Biomatrix, a NYSE-listed biotechnology company subsequently acquired by Genzyme. There she was responsible for all aspects of the company’s investor relations and communications programs including media relations liaison for its six global pharmaceutical partners.

She holds a BS from the State University of New York at Oneonta and has completed course work in business writing and editing at New York University.

Harriet Fried manages comprehensive investor relations programs for clients in a wide variety of sectors, including consumer goods, industrial/manufacturing and business services. She joined LHA in 2000 at which time she had more than 15 years of corporate communications, consulting, and Wall Street experience. In total, she has worked closely with the senior management of over 50 public companies to enhance their financial communications, successfully position themselves with the investment community and take advantage of opportunities to gain exposure to investment professionals. Her expert counsel and fresh strategic and tactical ideas – personalized to fit each client’s business fundamentals and corporate culture – have enabled LHA’s clients to expand the scope and caliber of their shareholder base and increase their sell-side coverage. Client longevity is a hallmark of Harriet’s contributions to LHA: among her clients, several have been with the firm for five to ten years.

Before entering the field of investor relations, she was a vice president at Kidder, Peabody & Co., first specializing in federal finance and then moving into corporate public relations, and at Oppenheimer & Co., where she focused on real estate finance.

Harriet earned an MBA from Fordham Graduate School of Business, an MA with honors in Urban Affairs and Policy Analysis from the New School for Social Research and a BA with honors from the University of California at Santa Cruz.

Don Markley joined LHA’s healthcare practice in August 2005, with nearly 20 years of agency and in-house experience in investor relations and corporate communications. He currently works with life sciences and medical technology companies, providing a full range of services while also serving as the primary contact to the investment community.

Don blends strong writing and communication skills with his investment marketing experience to help clients develop a clear, concise investment thesis that can be delivered consistently across a range of channels. In addition, Don provides counsel regarding important events and issues, including M&A, public offerings, proxy fights, restatements and overall disclosure practices. His in-house experience has proven valuable in assisting clients with establishing an efficient IR infrastructure and communication procedures.

Prior to joining LHA, he was senior director of investor relations for a large Silicon Valley-based software firm. Earlier, Don was director of investor relations for an Internet communications services company, and a vice president with one of the largest investor relations agencies, both in San Francisco. He has also held public relations and corporate communications positions with leading agencies and a Fortune 500 corporation in New York and Los Angeles. He was a stockbroker and investment advisor with Dean Witter for more than six years, and has taught business administration courses at Cal State Los Angeles and at San Diego City College. Don holds a BA in journalism from San Diego State University and an MBA from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management.

Carolyn Capaccio joined LHA in 2004 after collaborating with the firm in a consulting capacity for over a year during which she led a comprehensive perception study and repositioning exercise for NASDAQ. Through her background as both a sell-side analyst and investor relations counselor, Carolyn possesses an expertise in strategic counseling public companies on communicating significant corporate events including emergence from bankruptcy, rebuilding/relaunching corporate identity, facilities closures, transformational M&A and capital markets transactions, and significant management changes. At LHA, she has worked with clients in the telecommunications/media/technology, alternative fuels, manufacturing, and financial sectors. She also is a co-author of the NASDAQ OMX Going Public Guide for North American Companies.

Prior to joining LHA, Carolyn was an equity research analyst at Robertson Stephens, a boutique investment bank, where she applied a return on invested capital (ROIC) and discounted cash flow (DCF) focus to analyze catalog, retail, and e-commerce channels in hard- and soft-goods retail sectors. She began her career at Prudential-Bache Securities as an equity coordinator on the firm's equity research desk.

Carolyn earned a BA from Rutgers University where she participated in the Henry Rutgers General Honors (scholarship) Program and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Becky Herrick began her tenure at LHA in July of 2000 and has lead investor relations programs for companies in a variety of industries, including alternative energy, industrial, semiconductors, transportation and consumer products. Becky has provided investor relations counsel and developed strategic communications platforms for companies with market caps ranging as high as $2 billion. She has also worked with several soon-to-be public companies on their IPO planning strategies.

Outside of LHA, Becky worked in the public sector for an education organization in Oakland where she was involved in fundraising, business development and project management.

Becky graduated from San Francisco State University with a BA in Political Science and is currently enrolled in the part-time MBA program at the Haas School of Business at U.C. Berkeley.

Mary Magnani’s tenure with LHA began in 2006, when she joined the firm and then rejoined LHA in 2010. At LHA, Mary oversees a team of professionals in the firm’s San Francisco office managing several accounts in the technology, clean tech and consumer product sectors. She specializes in developing communication programs for companies going through business model changes, corporate re-positioning and management transitions.

Mary relies on her extensive IR experience to develop and execute investor relations strategies for companies in all phases of development. She has worked with over 10 pre-public and newly public companies to create investor relations programs to effectively communicate key investment messages and build relationships with Wall Street. Her investor relations experience has included working with over 40 companies and both agency and corporate positions. Mary started her career at Montgomery Securities (now Banc of America Securities) where she worked in both corporate finance and equity research.

Mary received her BA from the University of Oregon.

Stephanie Prince Vice President

Stephanie Prince is responsible for the strategy and execution of the investor relations programs of financial services and technology clients. Possessing a wealth of IR and capital markets experience on both sides of the investment process, she brings a unique viewpoint to advising clients.

Prior to joining LHA in 2010, she started a successful corporate access program at the small/mid-cap institutional broker-dealer CL King & Associates and originated a position at Bear Stearns to bring market intelligence and corporate access services to investment bankers and their clients. Earlier in her career, Stephanie was a sell- and buy-side analyst for many years, starting at Lehman Brothers first as a commercial bank analyst and then as a generalist working with the head of investment strategy. On the buy-side she was an analyst at such firms as Furman Selz Capital Management and Glickenhaus and Company. Her prior work experience includes heading the US financial services practice at an investor relations agency and serving as the IRO at Dime Community Bancshares.

Stephanie received an MBA from the Tulane University Freeman School of Business and a BA from Alfred University. She is a long standing member of National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI).

Since joining LHA in 2004, Cathy Mattison has been account lead for companies in a variety of industries, including telecom, cleantech/high tech and consumer products. Working in IR and financial media relations since 1996, Cathy integrates investor, media and marketing strategies to create impactful outreach programs that engage The Street and enlarge the company’s investor and analyst following. At LHA she has developed and implemented comprehensive and proactive strategic communications programs including message development, earnings, investor perception studies, investor and analyst targeting, roadshow and conference management, presentation creation, press release development and website content development. Her experience includes mergers and acquisitions, executive changes, stock splits, dividend programs, Reg. FD issues, new product announcements, customer case studies and other corporate actions. At LHA, she implemented a PRSA Silver Anvil Award winning investor and business press communication program for Improved Connections to Investors.

Prior to LHA, Cathy worked at several IR agencies. At one she specialized in financial communications and perception analysis for technology companies. Before that, she implemented a wide range of PR and media programs for development and emerging growth stage medical device and technology companies.

Cathy began her career in community newspaper publishing and graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a BS in Applied Business and Management.

Jeffrey Hart is responsible for the marketing efforts on behalf of the NY and San Francisco team’s clients. A Wall Street veteran since the late 1980s, Jeff applies his contacts and networking skills originated in the brokerage and investment banking arenas to creating access for company executives to institutional investors and private equity sources.

Prior to joining LHA, he was the founder and principal of a boutique consulting firm dedicated to creating sustainable market valuations for publicly traded companies. Jeff’s mission was to support management in building investor awareness through specific actions that maintain credibility and shareholder value. These experiences provide the skills to diagnose problems and implement changes that analysts and investors embrace.

Jeff received a BS in business administration from Bryant College in Smithfield, RI.

Jeff Kelley joined LHA in July 2000 with primary responsibility for cultivating relationships with institutional investors, securities analysts, investment bankers and retail stockbrokers on behalf of the firm’s healthcare clients. Since that time, Jeff has built the outreach effort to more than 1,200 institutional meetings and 1,300 retail stockbroker contacts annually, primarily in the U.S. His work includes LHA clients with market capitalizations ranging from less than $50 million to more than $500 million, and has covered all sub-sectors of the healthcare industry. Jeff has taken the lead on arranging meetings for clients at the annual JPMorgan Healthcare Conference, with as many as 30 clients holding more than 400 meetings in that three-day period. His contribution to successful client programming has included supporting fundraising activities through introductions to investment bankers and direct investors, arranging introductions with sell-side analysts leading to company coverage and securing invitations for clients to present at investment community conferences. While most client road shows are managed by LHA, Jeff also works frequently with institutional salesforces and analysts.

Jeff has worked in investor relations since 1999. His previous experience includes more than 15 years as a retail stockbroker, market maker and investment advisor at Shearson Lehman, PaineWebber, Crowell Weedon and Dean Witter Reynolds.

Jeff holds a BA in History from the University of California Los Angeles, and has earned graduate business credits from Pepperdine University and graduate history credits from California State University Los Angeles.

Linda DeNotaris, a member of LHA Media Relations, is responsible for managing relationships with the firm’s high-technology, consumer and financially-focused clients, and spearheads the targeted execution of public relations campaigns for these accounts. Linda’s role includes building and maintaining relationships with media contacts on national and local levels and creating tailored press materials to generate coverage.

Prior to joining LHA in 2011, Linda served as assistant manager, corporate communications at Toys“R”Us, Inc. During her tenure with the global retailer, Linda acted as a media point person, where she arranged interviews with company executives regarding business initiatives; major acquisitions; advancements in e-commerce, mobile marketing and social networking campaigns; as well as philanthropic endeavors. She was also responsible for the planning, development and execution of media strategies. Linda began her professional career in the global health department at Manning Selvage & Lee Public Relations, a division of the Publicis Groupe, now known as MSLGROUP. Here, she served as a member of the agency’s national healthcare media relations department.

Linda is a magna cum laude graduate of Marist College and holds a BA in communications. She also appeared in Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities & Colleges.

Mackenzie joined LHA’s Strategic Media Relations team in 2010. At LHA, Mackenzie is responsible for managing accounts, developing media strategies and messages, as well as securing high-impact media coverage for a wide array of healthcare, wellness and consumer focused brands.  

Prior to joining LHA, Mackenzie worked as an intern at several New York City PR firms and has gained valuable experience working with top-tier consumer and corporate clients.
